Our Mission

Mbondaa Foundation works with rural communities to remove the barriers standing between children and a quality education; restoring schools, supplying educational tools, sustaining teachers, mentoring students, and building the foundations that let young minds thrive. Because it takes a village, we are building one. 

Mbondaa is a Mende word, meaning “family”, a word that reflects community, care, and belonging. We believe every child deserves the support needed to learn, grow, and contribute to a stronger future. Together, we are building pathways of compassion, opportunity, and shared hope for children and families in Sierra Leone
