Mbondaa Foundation is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for children and youth from disadvantaged, rural, and low-income communities.
We aim to reduce financial and structural barriers that prevent many young people from accessing and completing their education and support them in career development.
Mbondaa means "family" in Mende language, and that is at the heart of everything we do. We chose this name because we believe every child deserves to be cared for, supported, and valued like family.
In many communities, it truly takes a village to raise, guide, and uplift a child, and Mbondaa reflects that spirit of connection, responsibility, and love.
Mbondaa represents belonging, unity, and the belief that when one child is supported, an entire community grows stronger. We see the children and families we serve as part of a larger family, one built on compassion, dignity, and shared hope for a brighter future.
